Domaine des Forges "Côteaux du Layon St-Aubin"
The grapes are harvested by hand in the commune of St Aubin, by successive selections of bottled grapes (noble rot). The grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press. Alcoholic fermentation is controlled by temperature control and aging is done in vats.
In the nose, fresh citrus notes (grapefruit) and more exotic notes (pineapple). The balanced palate is dominated by dried fruits (apricots, figs, dates).
