Fleming Justin Onclin took over this château from the Giraud family in 2007. Once the renovation of the estate was completed, day-to-day management of Château Villemaurine passed to Onclin's daughter Carmen and her husband Luc Pasqueron, an oenologist. They also do the same at Onclin's other domain Branas Grand Poujeaux (where they live). Pasqueron
had been recruited by Onclin in 2002 to run this domain in Moulis, and subsequently became his son-in-law. The oenologist is also winemaker of Château Angélus en Hubert de Boüard De La Forest. In April 2021, however, Onclin sold this Grand Cru Classé to the Bordelese contractor group "Lefévère," which also owns Ch. Sansonnet.
